E. Powell aka $.O.D Tha ILL-Literate born in The D.C Metro Area. A 31 year old rapper/student from the D.M.V area. At the early age of 10 $.O.D (Shado Of Deztiny) Found his love for rap music and began to write lyrics. He also began producing his own music. Although $.O.D didn't have much equipment, starting with a keyboard and a boombox radio, he didn't let that keep him from moving forward. Having lived in northern and southern states has allowed $.O.D to concentrate both flavors with his own unique style, and his love for west coast hiphop and rap adds and extra flame around the fire. With an unorthodox style he generates a flavor unlike others. He attended to his musical talents at A early age rhyming and freestyling with neighborhood kids in his basement, beat boxing, using a keyboard and boom box to record. With the desire to become a better musician, he wrote lyrics constantly and continued into college to aquire the skills of recording engineer. Wanting to record his music, he was introduced into the world of home recording. From the ground up, he started with a basic computer, computer mic and downloaded audio programs and began making better quality music. He was soon able to produce outstanding audio projects using a minimal of recording equipment. He quickly developed the art of "How To Move The Crowd" and "Keep Your Head Rocking". He soon started to producing all tyupes of tracks with Mr. KF a group member. He has worked with national and local artist/producers in productions, recording and promotions like, Rob Lewis, Bashan CEO of Dreamworks, K-Mob, P.T.M (PopTart Monkeys), F.T.N Clique, Bone Thugs'n'Harmony, Capone and Noreaga, The Wild Boys, Timbaland, Maino and E40's Umbrella Artist Nump Trump. While in connection with F.T.N Clique a Sony Music Publishing Artist, He began doing shows. He has performed at many clubs and venues such as State of The Union, D.C Tunnel, New York's Club Downtime, Madison Square Garden, also at Howard University's Homecoming Events to name a few. When asked what was his strongest characteristic, "I have developed and instinct to create and recognize a style or vibe that gives a song the power to may you want to listen and move". Currently he is unsigned creating C.D's, doing shows and promothing himself.
